A no-frills, long-running in Gongju’s Banjeok-dong that wears its history on the signboard — locals come for honest flavors at very modest prices. The shop’s jeukseok (rice cakes, cabbage, scallion and eomuk simmered in a spicy broth) and the spicy-sweet bibim-mandu—tossed vegetables and dumplings eaten with crispy gunmandu—are local favorites. Note: ramyeon is only accepted on your first order and the kitchen may close early if ingredients run out.
