3.5
(7 reviews)A longtime Sokcho favorite (serving locals since 1994) known for its kalguksu — the regional spicy noodle soup of Gangwon. The restaurant recently moved to a cleaner, more comfortable space but kept a very simple menu: kalguksu, tteok-mandu-guk, and mandu. The kalguksu is made to order with hand-pulled, irregularly sized noodles and is notable for generous chunks of potato and whelk, finished with crown daisy and shredded gim for extra aroma. The broth is pleasantly spicy and refreshing; the mandu, with an especially chewy wrapper, is a popular side.
