Haesong is a roomy, multi-floor restaurant in Incheon serving Jeolla-style banchan and generous (rice-and-veg wraps). The house specialty, Dolsot , arrives as a hearty spread: fresh leafy greens, eight or more banchan, hot dolsot (stone-pot) rice, braised mackerel, (freshwater snail) ssamjang, spicy pork (jeyuk bokkeum) and a variety of jeotgal (salted seafood). You build each wrap as you like — rice, greens, meat, ssamjang or jeotgal — and the made-from-scratch ssamjang (made with about 20 ingredients such as walnuts, ginkgo, peanuts and pine nuts) gives a nutty, savory finish. All banchan and wrap vegetables are refillable at no extra charge. The building houses a ground-floor lobby, dining floors, group rooms and a café/relaxation floor, so it works well for families and larger groups.
