The Taehwa-dong flagship of Daeil Hamheung , a cold-noodle specialist that began in Ulsan's Maeam-dong in 1982. Noodles are hand-mixed with sweet-potato starch and extruded on-site for the characteristic chewy Hamheung texture. Signature dishes are Hamheung-style mulnaengmyeon poured with a sagol (beef-bone) broth and a fiery bibimnaengmyeon tossed in a house spicy sauce; the yachae (vegetable) piled with 10+ vegetables and meat is another local favorite.

Local Tips

  • Noodles made from sweet-potato starch and extruded in-house for the chewy Hamheung texture
  • Choose mulnaengmyeon in a deep sagol (beef-bone) broth or the spicy bibim; yachae naengmyeon comes with 10+ vegetables and sliced meat
  • Parking available and open daily 11:00–21:00 — avoid the 12:00–13:30 lunch rush; consider ordering wang-mandu as a side
